In this session we are going to talk about your favourite person - YOU.

Why?

Because the single, most important factor for success as a leader is self-awareness.

Self-awareness refers to the ‘Why’ behind what we do. It is our values, our personality, and how they help drive us. It also helps us understand how other people perceive us as people and as leaders.

Personality is a foundational element of self-awareness. There is no good or bad personality type, but a pattern is often found among CEOs and founders. What differentiates people who have analytical skills from people who can really lead are their interpersonal skills.

In practical terms, being aware of our personality type means we can build on our strengths, improve where we are lacking, or hire a team to cover the areas in which we need support.

Dr Randall Peterson interviews leaders across different industries in his role as Director of the Leadership Institute, has spoken to many of our LifeScience ORG CEOs as well as having conducted research on biotech /medtech CEO personalities.

His research and others (there are at least 100 years of research on Leadership) have shown how personality impacts predicting success as a business leader.

In preparation for the session, we are going to give you the opportunity to take Randall Peterson's Big 5 personality test.
