Melanie Lee, PhD, CBE is a seasoned Executive and Non-Executive Director across Pharma and Medtech companies, including FTSE 100 biotech, large public and small venture backed boards. She has a strong background in corporate development of strategy in public and private companies to their next phase of growth and is widely connected across the global healthcare sector. Melanie is pursuing a portfolio career in life sciences focused on new technologies and innovation to transform the opportunities for human health and wellbeing.

Her most recent role was CEO of Life Arc, which she spearheaded for 5 years, during a major transformational change as the Keytruda royalty stream was monetised and set a new strategy to lead translation in the life sciences. 

Melanie’s previous roles have included Chief Scientific Officer at BTG (most recently) as well as senior positions at GSK, Celltech and UCB. She has held NED positions with Lundbeck, BTGplc and Sanofi and Trustee roles at Cancer Research Technology, Cancer Research UK and currently with the UK Dementia Research Institute.
